Who We are

Our "Why?"

Romans 6:22 NIV, "But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life."

The Four Commands of Christ book contains the "Why" for The Ark Project US organization. It teaches us our purpose in life, our mission in life, helps you with your goals for your life, and it teaches you how to establish your governing values.

Have you ever wondered what putting on the full amour of God looks like? Have you tried and failed at your relationship with Christ? You walked away because you didn’t feel like you could satisfy Christ with who you are. We teach you how to resolve these inner issues of life and give you spiritual disciplines to adopt so you can overcome.

We will continue in self improvement and will add more programs as the Holy Spirit leads.

Our Values

Worship & Study

Through weekly Bible studies, worship gatherings, and small groups, we will learn more about God and grow in our knowledge and love for Him.

Evangelism & Outreach

By reaching out, as you go along in life, to those around us, we will share God's love and His message of hope with the people in our community. This is the fulfillment of the Fourth Command of Christ, always serving with love.

Missions & Sending

Using the Four Commands of Christ to make disciples, supporting fellow believers in their relationship with Christ and keeping them in the Zone. Provide a platform of support for Churches and Individuals.

What We Believe

This is how we view God, Jesus, the Bible, man, and many significant aspects of our faith. Firmly rooted in Scripture, our beliefs guide our decisions as a church.

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

The Trinity

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Father

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

The Son

Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Man

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

Salvation

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Church

The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

What We Believe

The Ark Project US has adopted these well known creeds and it will be our lifelong belief.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; Born of the Virgin Mary;
Suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was crucified, dead and buried;
He descended into Hell; The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven; And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; The Holy Christian Church, the Communion of Saints;
The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen.

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten not made, being of one substance with the Father, through Whom all things were made: Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man: Who for us, too, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered, and was buried: the third day He rose according to the Scriptures, ascended into heaven, and is seated on the right hand of the Father: He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son: Who together with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified: Who spoke by the prophets. And I believe one holy, Christian, and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins, and I look for the resurrection of the dead and life of the age to come. Amen.

James Ford

Founder

My name is James Ford and I am a sinner saved by grace. God has asked me to write a book that I am not qualified to write. But who can refuse God! I thought I would share a little bit about how I got to this point.

I am a carpenter by trade and have no formal training other than high school and the natural talents and abilities that God has blessed me with. God has challenged me with a mission while I am on this earth. It started when I asked Christ into my life at sixteen years old. I was in Church and the pastor gave an invitation to accept Christ. I asked Christ into my heart then a miracle happened. Jesus appeared to me and his with His right arm touched me on my head. His visage was white as snow and extremely radiant. I was simultaneously terrified and overwhelmed with joy to have such a glorious meeting with my Lord. I really did not understand what had happened to me and I have to admit I was somewhat confused. I did not understand what took place over and beyond initial salvation. Not having anyone to disciple me I changed the best I could but I struggled with sin nature and the world influence on me. It only took 3 to 4 years for me to decide to quit being a Christian. I told Jesus that I did not know how to live as Christians should. I did not know how to control my body, mind and soul in a way that would be pleasing to God. So, I walked away and lived like anyone else would. I worked as a carpenter until I started my own construction company. In 1980 we had a Worldwide recession and I lost everything, which was quite a bit at that time. I was listening to a christian radio station one night and I decided to ask Christ back into my heart. As soon as I finished my prayer the Holy Spirit filled me with such joy and excitement to be back with Christ. I made a promise to Him, no matter what I will persevere this time.

Over the years God has entrusted me with the vision He has always had for my life but it came to me one piece at a time. After a few years, an evangelist named Ron Miller came to my church and had the knack of pulling out of people hidden issues that needed to be dealt with. All the time he was there speaking I felt compelled to ask him to pray for me. We went to a private office and he started walking in a circle and asked God how he was to answer my souls desire. Just FYI, I didn’t share with him any of the feelings I have had inside me from God. After some intense prayer time he said that God had given him the answer: I was to become an end time evangelist, as himself, who was also called by God for the same mission. I thought long and hard about this for a while, but then decided to not think of it again. I didn’t know how I was to go about this mission little alone live it. I was just not ready to go into ministry at that time. After a long time had passed, God reminded me of His call for my life. He started about 35 years ago with some small things to do. He asked me to memorize the book of Joel. So, I did but wasn’t sure why. He also gave me governing values to work on but not being trained or able to write it has been slow coming to fruition at best. Today it is somewhat completed. I have been very slow to get any of these writings done.

He gave me the Four Commands of Christ 5 to 7 years ago along with the spiritual disciplines. Over the years I have added other content but all said and done it has taken me 35 years to finally get the big picture and start putting it all together. All of this information He has been feeding me has turned into a discipleship program to help Christians maintain their relationship with Christ. Something I needed when I accepted Christ.

My journey was not an easy one and has been full of bumps and down falls that I have endured because of my ignorance and somewhat rebellious spirit. Throughout the years I received pieces of the puzzle and enough training necessary to carry out my mission. At first the steps were small, then became larger as I grew in understanding and faithfulness. God has now given me my full commission: Ezekiel 3:17. With this commission He has given me His words and wisdom summed up as The Four Commands of Christ. All that I am teaching came direct from Christ. All I did was write down what He shared with me. I hope you enjoy Christ’s vision for our future.
